Overview:
Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 370-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael, California, serving the areas of north Sacramento County and south Placer County for more than 50 years. Responsibilities:
The Nurse Shift Manager for Emergency Services supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level. Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care, and institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them. Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.

Qualifications:
Minimum:

  1. Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g. ADN).
  2. Current CA RN license.
  3. Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience (ED) as a registered nurse.
  4. AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS.
  5. TNCC required within 6 months of hire.
  6. MICN required within 2 years of hire.
  7. Current Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field.
  8. Completion of Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) or related field within 3 years of hire.
