Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team on a permanent full-time basis in Kamloops, B.C. This exciting Nurse Practitioner position will provide comprehensive primary care in an established and welcoming environment to members of the Central Secwepemc Indigenous communities in the Interior of British Columbia. In partnership with the Secwepemc communities, you will provide comprehensive primary care in a team-based environment to members of T’Kemlups (i.e. Kamloops, B.C.) at the Q’wemtsin Health Society Clinic; Skeetchestn (Savona, B.C.); Bonaparte and High Bar (outside of Cache Creek, B.C.). Based out of the Q’wemtsin Health Society Clinic with outreach one day each week to the communities listed above, you will be supported by Interior Health and the Health Directors of the participating communities. As the Nurse Practitioner you will be providing full primary care to an established roster of patients along with new patients in need. The goals of this service are to: increase the availability and continuity of primary care services for Indigenous clients, enhance chronic disease care and provide holistic patient centred health care that is delivered in a culturally safe manner.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm with options to alter clinic days as directed by the Community Health Directors to ensure equity of service in regard to statutory holidays and planned leaves.
