Nurse Practitioner (Relocation to Vancouver BC)

TELUS Health Care Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, invites Nurse Practitioners residing outside of BC to join our dynamic team.

Ability/Willingness to Relocate:

TELUS Health Care Centre, 138 13th St E Suite 220, North Vancouver, BC V7L 0E5

Schedule: Flexible, 3-4 days per week or 20+ weekly hours preferred

Remuneration: Competitive, flexible and negotiable

Role Summary: Nurse Practitioners are responsible for the provision of high quality preventative health care services and work in an interdisciplinary collaborative model with Family Physicians, Nurses, Kinesiologists, Dietitians and other allied health team members in order to support our patients in meeting their health and wellness goals.

As a TELUS Health Care Centre Nurse Practitioner you will practice to your full scope:

• Deliver episodic and longitudinal care that incorporates innovative treatments for preventative healthcare, including emerging therapies, alongside evidence-based primary care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and order diagnostic testing, procedural interventions, personalized pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, and facilitate specialist referrals when indicated.
• Provide regular patient follow up to promote health and educate on disease prevention and management.
• Collaborate with other nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physicians and the allied health team members to foster a team-based, interdisciplinary approach.
• Opportunities to deliver complex and specialized care, including but not limited to prenatal care, pediatric health & wellness, chronic disease prevention and management.

What do you need to apply?

• Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree or equivalent, with a post-Master’s diploma (PMD).
• Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner – Family/ All Ages, and in good standing with the Provincial College.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of primary care experience preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a positive and results-focused attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and patients.
• Proficiency in technology-supported care, including familiarity with EMRs.
