The Inpatient Pediatrics Intensive Care Nurse Manager will join an outstanding medical center and play an important role in supporting the clinical and administrative mission of the health system. Reporting to the Women’s and Children’s Services Nursing Director, the PICU Nurse Manager will play an important role in leading administrative and clinical operations, supported by a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) Patient Care Supervisor, as well as a tenured Pediatric ICU Charge Nurse.
This RN Manager will lead a 10-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit that is designated by the CCS as Level II. Pediatrics experience at this level of acuity or above will be necessary to meet regulatory requirements. This is a perfect role for a compassionate and experienced Nurse Leader with Supervisor or Manager experience in their background to take the next step in their management career under the mentorship of an amazing nursing leadership team.
The PICU Nursing Manager will take on an important role in the operations of this department. This role will provide very limited bedside care, primarily as break relief and in emergency situations when it’s all hands on deck. Instead of bedside responsibilities, this person will support educational programs for the staff, mentor young nurses who are just starting out, and serve as a subject matter expert.
The Manager of Pediatric Nursing will also serve as a hospital-wide leader through optional participation in committees for employee experience, patient satisfaction, and quality improvement. Working in collaboration with leaders in finance and operations, the Supervisor will also make significant impacts on improving the operational efficiencies of this unit.
