Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Position Summary
Are you a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Diagnostic Imaging department.

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with departmental policies. Duties include preparing patients for examination, operating nuclear medicine equipment, monitoring patient during procedures, preparing, dispensing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing routine quality control tests on imaging equipment, monitoring area utilizing appropriate detection devices and disposing of radioactive substances and contaminated items by following established guidelines.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:18, 08:00 to 16:18, 07:30 to 15:48, 09:00 to 17:18

Qualifications
• Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
• Current certification with CAMRT and eligible for membership with CAMRT and CAMRT-BC.

10. Equipment: Demonstrated computer skills including the use of EMR, RIS and Windows based systems. Demonstrated data analysis skills including appropriate data analysis and reporting tools. Demonstrated ability in the use of e-mail and word processing. Ability to operate other related equipment as required in the specific practice area.
11. Physical ability: to perform the duties of the position.
