Job description

EXP is currently seeking a Noise and Vibration Engineer to work in the Brampton office. The Environmental group is fast-paced and growth-oriented, ideally suited for individuals who like to take charge and are driven to build on current successes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Carrying out noise and vibration assessments, independently or as part of a larger group to support clients across buildings, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
  • Data collection, modeling, post-processing, analysis, and reporting of results.
  • Conducting field work.
  • Schedule work assignments to perform duties.
  • Writing technical reports covering method, results, and recommendations.
  • Preparing proposals, marketing materials and/or technical papers.
  • Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams to support engineering projects.

The Skills and Knowledge You Bring

  • Degree in engineering, physics, or related field; advanced degrees are an asset.
  • Experience in acoustic, noise and vibration measurement, monitoring, assessment, and mitigation within buildings, construction, industrial operations, and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with sound and vibration measurement instruments and modeling software (e.g., CADNA/A, STAMSON, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret process flow/mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of physical acoustics and regulatory permitting requirements and guidelines.
  • Experience in successfully dealing with regulatory agencies.
  • Valid driver’s license required for travel to job sites/clients.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
