GENERAL SUMMARY:
As a Night Auditor at AC Hotels by Marriott, you will oversee the hotel's overnight operations, ensuring a smooth and secure environment for guests while maintaining accurate financial records. You will provide exceptional service, reconcile daily transactions, and act as the primary point of contact for guests during nighttime hours. Your role is essential in upholding AC Hotels refined, European-inspired service standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Education and Experience:
- High school graduation or equivalent required.
- Previous hotel front desk or accounting experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial procedures and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fosse, Marriott GXP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during nighttime hours.
Preferred:
- Ability and willingness to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a guest-focused approach.
- Bilingual capabilities (English and French) are an asset.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening, and visual acuity.
- Manual dexterity to operate office and computer equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Audit & Financial Reporting:
- Perform end-of-day procedures, including balancing and auditing room revenue, food and beverage revenue, and cashier reports.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial reports to management.
- Reconcile credit card transactions, process payments, and ensure accurate billing.
Guest Services:
- Serve as the main point of contact for guests during overnight hours, assisting with check-in, check-out, and inquiries.
- Employ the LEARN approach towards resolving guests' concerns to their satisfaction.
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure a pleasant stay.
- Provide information on local attractions, hotel amenities, and transportation options.
Safety & Security:
- Monitor hotel security systems, conduct regular property walks, and ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate with local authorities if necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols and report any safety hazards or incidents to management.
Administrative Support:
- Manage phone calls, emails, and reservations during nighttime hours.
- Follow the department checklist to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
- Prepare and set up breakfast area and other morning services as needed.
- Assist with basic housekeeping tasks to maintain a tidy and welcoming lobby area.
Compliance & Procedures:
- Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and property policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and financial data.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Team Collaboration:
- Provide a thorough shift handover to the morning team, highlighting any significant occurrences or pending tasks.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to address guest requests and room issues.
- Participate in regular training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on hotel policies and procedures.
