Your Mission – Legal Operations Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Operations Intern to join our dynamic and international team. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and working closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Okomera’s legal processes and compliance efforts. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain invaluable experience in startup legal operations, contracts management, and regulatory compliance within the biotech sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal and Contractual Support
   • Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements (e.g., NDAs, supplier agreements, client contracts).
   • Assist in maintaining and organizing Okomera’s contract management database.
   • Collaborate with the Legal team to support negotiations and ensure contracts align with company objectives.
2. Regulatory and Compliance Assistance
   • Support regulatory filings and documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
   • Assist with GDPR compliance and other relevant data protection regulations.
3. Corporate Governance
   • Assist in preparing legal documents for board meetings and investor relations.
   • Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.
4. Process Optimization
   • Contribute to developing and improving internal legal processes and workflows.
   • Assist in creating templates, policies, and procedures for legal and compliance activities.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
   • Work closely with departments such as Sales, Finance, and HR to provide legal guidance and support.
   • Assist in legal training sessions for internal teams.

What You’ll Bring

• Academic Background: Enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program in Law (business law, intellectual property, or compliance preferred).
• Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is a strong advantage.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to legal documents and processes.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital tools and software for legal and contract management.
