The Global Network Engineering - Design & Automation team is responsible for maintaining the software and hardware standards for network, enterprise telephony and contact center technologies. Working closely with the architecture team, we are engaged in developing the platforms roadmaps, participate in the Proof of Concept, and are responsible for the production pilot of new technologies. We provide the solution designs and work closely with all global regions to maintain common strategies and service methodologies. The team is engaged in all major projects and complex initiatives providing technical oversight and guidance to ensure all standards and patterns are followed.
Reporting to a Senior Manager, Global Network Engineering - Design & Automation, as a Network Engineer you will:
- Incorporate complex network solutions and work with other technology teams to contribute to an overall solution.
- Be hands-on during mid to complex project deployments into production, supporting assigned systems and acting as an internal consultant on assigned infrastructure.
- Lead, review, and consult on solutions & designs for assigned tasks, providing recommendations for enhancements and improvements.
- Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for Global Network Engineering and support teams to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve network services.
- Understand Global Networks operation issues and customer challenges, advocating for their needs with cross-functional teams.
- Develop network technology roadmap and seek approval.
- Mentor and coach others in assigned area, transferring subject matter expertise.
- Perform new network product evaluation (i.e., POC) and produce reports and recommendations independently.
- Recognized as having advanced technical knowledge within network domains.
- Communicate effectively with various departments up to Director level.
- Work independently and provide technical guidance to junior team members, creating best practices and recognizing patterns for improvement.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 8+ years of hands-on technical working experience in supporting, deploying, and interconnecting various network technologies at an enterprise scale.
- 5+ years of experience in maintaining cloud solutions followed by possession of at least one certification or equivalent knowledge: Azure (AZ-700, AZ-305, AZ-500), GCP (PCSE, PCA, PCNE), Advanced Networking Specialist, Security Specialist.
- Practical design experience with Cloud Services, Virtual Machine (VM, GCE), and Container platforms (AKS, GKE, OpenShift).
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery tools (Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GCP Cloud Build, Jenkins).
- Experience with network troubleshooting and monitoring tools, such as VPC Flow Logs, AWS CloudWatch, and Google Stackdriver.
- Proficiency in CLI, Terraform, ARM Templates, and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools, as well as Powershell, BASH, and Python scripting experience.
- Deep understanding of network security best practices, including firewalls, Security Groups, and NACLs.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, such as support engineer in the Cloud ecosystem.
- Hands-on administration experience with Load Balancers like F5, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent network knowledge, with hands-on experience in router and switch administration.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve work issues under pressure.
- Strong communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external partners.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Networking Technology, or related field.
