.Net Web Developer

Job Description: Our client is looking for a .Net Web Developer for a contract role.

Must Have Primary Skills:

1. 5+ years of experience of development using .net
2. Preference will be given to those with 3+ years of healthcare IT experience, including an understanding of the role of eHealth Saskatchewan with respect to data integration and interfaces
3. Experience in building complex components using Microsoft .net, SQL Server, Azure, Microsoft Entra and User Interface frameworks.
4. Experience working in a highly integrated environment
5. Experience in managing and mentoring technical development teams
6. Bachelor degree in computer science, business administration, health care administration, engineering or equivalent
7. Diploma in computer technology or equivalent
8. Superior working knowledge of .net software development technology, programming, workflow analysis principles, networks and protocols.
9. Experience with maintaining internal and external (Azure) SQL Server databases containing sensitive data, as well as managing the flow of data throughout the application.
10. Experience with security technologies such as Microsoft Entra, Entra External ID and Active Directory.
11. Knowledge of industry best practices and principles.
12. Understanding of technical designs, specifications and principles systems and software applications.

Proven Experience In:

1. Design and build web application components that meet Business Requirements using Microsoft .net deployed on Azure.
2. Guide HFS Team members providing direction and mentorship during the design, development, configuration, testing, and implementation of web application components and overall website design.
3. This will include code review and performance testing and tuning.
4. Build complex components using Microsoft .net, SQL Server, Azure, Microsoft Entra and User Interface frameworks. These components must be able to be consumed on a variety of devices and browser platforms as they are external facing (iOS, Android, PC, Mac, etc).
5. Provide creative suggestions to allow presentation of a modern website for use by HFS. Become familiar with the current website of the client and show how to move it forward in terms of technology and presentation.
6. Work with Microsoft Entra and Entra External ID for maintaining security for both external users as well as HFS staff.
7. Build a modern and maintainable web solution to meet the needs of the HFS program for the foreseeable future.
8. Provide technical feedback of business requirements identifying potential solutions/approaches and any associated risks/mitigation options.
9. Create interface solutions to including but not limited to API, messaging, etc.
10. Prepare technical documentation required to support the project(s) and transition technical knowledge to the support teams.
11. Provide work time estimates to the Provincial HFS Manager.
12. Report technical progress risks and issues to the Provincial HFS Manager and team members.
13. Diagnose and resolve system defects.
14. Liaison with Health Care and Technical Partners representing the clients' Technical Needs and Solutions.
15. Attend HFS weekly meetings.
