NDT Technician - UT/MT

Position Summary

BakosNDT is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwood Service Corporation and is a growing and leading provider of non-destructive testing services in Western Canada, with services offered to all industrial sectors. We are currently seeking a permanent full-time CGSB Certified NDT Technicians to support our Operations in Edmonton, with additional project support throughout Alberta.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and calibrate testing equipment.
• Conduct tests on parts, following procedures established for specified inspection task being performed.
• Evaluate results according to specifications and standards.
• Assist with various other inspection tasks.
• Organize and report test results.
• Adhere to all company quality and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Ultrasonic Testing UTI CGSB Certification.
• Magnetic Particle Testing MTII CGSB Certification.
• Liquid Penetrant Testing PTII CGSB Certification.
• Reside locally to Edmonton, AB or willing to relocate.
• Preference for facility, pipeline, and weld inspection (structural and pressure).
• Possess good analytical skills, detail-oriented.
• Be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally (English).
• Be able to pass a vision and color detection test.
• Willing to learn and assist in various inspection techniques.
• Possess a valid driver’s license minimum (class 5) with a clean driving record.
• Able to work well within a team environment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work long hours and weekends away from home base.
• Willingness to travel throughout Canada to complete inspection projects.
