Job description

As a Naval ILS Analyst, you'll be part of a complex in-service support program for the fleet of Royal Canadian Navy vessels used during patrol and support missions. You'll play a critical role in enhancing the support systems of equipment onboard the ships and will optimize their maintainability, availability, and life-cycle cost.

Some of your key responsibilities include :

  • Reviewing vendor documentation to identify maintenance and support requirements.
  • Collecting and organizing technical data for Product and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) activities, such as Functional Analysis, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, Maintenance Task Analysis, and Sparing Analysis.
  • Determining required spares and quantities by reviewing technical publications and usage data, collaborating with engineering, procurement, and service delivery personnel, and interacting with ship staff.
  • Developing Maintenance Plans, Preventive or Corrective Maintenance Schedules, Instructions, Performance Tests, and Spare Parts Lists, along with accompanying Provisioning Technical Data for new equipment or modifications.
  • Managing data within the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR), reviewing technical data package elements for accuracy and consistency, and creating Document Change Requests as needed.

Hard Skills

  • Data analysis / examination / review (numerical data, documentation, drawings)
  • Mechanical or Electrical field of study (College or University)
  • Technical / report writing (simple reports / documentation)
