Salary: $45,016 - $93,603

Role:

Reporting to the NCOB Manager, the National Credit Analyst plays an integral role within the team, performing financially based assessment activities to assess credit risk, and recommending customer credit limits and appropriate credit repayment terms which align with Sysco’s credit and collection policies. The successful candidate will work closely with RVPs, National Account Managers, and Account Execs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assessing credit risk and customer financials and recommending credit lines and terms for new accounts
  • Periodic review of existing customers to mitigate the risk to the organization
  • Communicating with internal customers – RVPs, National Account Managers, Account Executives, etc.
  • Market, train, counsel, advise and communicate credit department policy and procedures to company personnel
  • Maintain electronic credit and collection files with appropriate documented system notes
  • Conduct collection calls and reconcile disputes to ensure company goals for collection targets are achieved
  • Daily and weekly monitoring of customer accounts, ensuring current status is consistently maintained
  • Following up on customer requests for invoices, credits by various communication methods
  • Managing the customer delinquent process through collaboration with sales associates and customers
  • Preparing monthly management reports within Sysco
  • Use of technology to track customer information, including Word, Excel, BPC, Cognos tools
  • Participate in major department projects and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives
  • Assisting in the overall achievements of departmental goals
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • A minimum of 2-4 years related credit work experience, within the Distribution industry preferred
  • Completion of High School
  • College level diploma in Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred
  • CCP designation an asset, but not required
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience with AS400 an asset, experience with large ERP system preferred
  • Proven experience with computerized accounting systems, scanning software, strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A dual capacity to function both as part of a team and independently
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently while also being an integral part of a team. Highly analytical and a proactive learner
