The Township of Oro-Medonte is currently seeking one (1) new member to join the skills-based Board of Directors for the Municipal Services Corporation (MSC).
The MSC is responsible for the Township of Oro-Medonte’s Environmental Services division infrastructure inclusive of municipal drinking water, streetlights, urban stormwater management, communal tile systems, and wastewater services.
The primary purpose of the skills-based Board of Directors is to provide governance oversight for the MSC. Based on services provided by the MSC, the following skills criteria are required in the overall composition of the MSC's Board of Directors:
At this time, given the current Board member skill sets, candidates with experience related to financial expertise and risk management are preferred, in addition to experience serving on a Board of Directors for a similar business/undertaking. All Board members must be Canadian citizens. MSC Board of Directors will be compensated consistent with the Township’s current Remuneration and Expense Bylaw for Council/Committee members and meets approximately four (4) times per year.
