Multimedia Account Executive

Dougall Media, Thunder Bay’s only locally owned broadcast/multimedia company, has an exciting opportunity in our Broadcast Sales Department, as a Multimedia Account Executive.

The Multimedia Account Executive is responsible for generating media revenues for television, print, radio and digital, to meet or exceed predetermined goals. The account executive creates revenue by meeting with prospective clients, making sales presentations and selling directly to current clients as assigned. The individual is entrusted to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with various local business, agencies or individuals, and encourage them to reach their target audience through television, radio, print and digital channels and services.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and manage revenue-producing relationships with client and agencies
• Act as ambassador representing Dougall Media at industry and media events, and with clients
• Continue to learn and develop skills as a Multimedia Account Executive
• Prospect for new business using sales funnel techniques
• Analyze client marketing goals and develop needs-based solutions to achieve them
• Manage and take responsibility for the schedule of deliverables and campaigns of each client, being primary point of contract and managing all customer care and service
• Maintain accurate files and information on their clients
• Work cohesively with other Dougall Media Staff
• Extra duties as required, especially those that support the organization’s stated goals and objectives.

Required credentials and skills include, but are not limited to:

• Proven track record of sales success preferably in media setting
• A minimum of two years of sales, account management or client services
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Valid driver's license.
