Job description

Job Title: Multi Skilled Technician II

Department: Facilities

Supervisor Title: Area Facilities Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the repair of a wide variety of specialized equipment in an assigned group of 7-Eleven (family of brands) stores within a geographic area. Service calls are initiated from the store via 7Help work orders to appropriate technician. Position reports to the Area Facilities Manager.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Job responsibilities and qualifications may be superseded by local, state or federal regulations.
  • Responds to work orders for a wide variety of in-store equipment which include, but may not be limited to minor repairs of HVAC, minor repairs to refrigeration, hot beverage equipment (e.g., coffee, cappuccino), cold beverage equipment (e.g., tea, fountain, FBD, FCB, creamer machine), fountain/backroom ice makers, hot food equipment (e.g., fryers, griddles, tortilla presses, ovens, roller grills, warmers), fuel dispensers (e.g., printers, displays, card readers, hanging hardware), etc.
  • Responds to work orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues.
  • Responsible for ordering and management of parts inventory on truck.
  • Responsible for replacing ‘plug and play’ equipment as needed.
  • Schedules and prioritizes duties and work assignments on a daily basis.
  • Completes required reports and paperwork daily to account for the time and use of parts and materials.
  • Observes and inspects equipment to determine if servicing or further action is required.
  • Reads, interprets, and follows procedures described in service manuals per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Calibrates pumps, dispensers, and other equipment in accordance with legal standards.
  • Recommends when an outside contractor is required to handle a maintenance issue.
  • Provides training to less experienced technicians as needed.
  • Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by management.
  • Complies with and follows all safety regulations and protocols.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: High School/GED

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 2+ years

YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: NA

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: Must have certification by one manufacturer/government agency (or equivalent work experience where certification is not required).

  • Show leadership.
  • Peer to peer tech support.
  • Effective communication.
  • Requires little to no direct supervision.
  • Provides advice and guidance to less experienced personnel as needed.
  • Projects/stretch assignments.
  • Facility location ownership.
  • Ability to lead the team (meetings, projects, etc.).
  • Fills in for AFM during vacations, absences.
