Summary
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting, the Financial Analyst will play an essential role in the production of quality financial information. The candidate will also participate in a project to upgrade the accounting system.
The role
- Actively participate in month-end processes (journal entries, reconciliations, elimination and follow-up of inter-company transactions).
- Assist the Senior Analyst in the monthly consolidation of the group's entities.
- Perform capex accounting and tracking.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements.
- Take on different roles and ad hoc projects to support the corporate finance team.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA designation (or in the process of being obtained)
Specific experience and skills
- 2-3 years of experience in an accounting firm or in a financial analyst position.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
- Rigorous, structured and organized.
- Action-oriented, proactive with a high level of responsibility for delivering quality work.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage and prioritize concurrent tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently and flexibly when necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Microsoft D365 an asset.
