MS SQL Database Administrator

Job Responsibilities

1. Install, upgrade, and manage database instances (SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017).
2. Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
3. Set and maintain database standards.
4. Performance tuning of database systems.
5. Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
6. Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
7. Create automation for repeating database tasks.
8. Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS.
9. Be available for on-call support as needed.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11. Good hands-on experience in establishing High Availability configurations including SQL Mirroring, SQL Clustering, Always-On Failover Clustering, Always-On Availability Groups, and log-shipping.
12. Advantage if having experience in PowerShell scripting and any NoSQL database experience.
13. Hands-on experience with Azure/AWS relational database services.
14. Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
15. Support L1/L2 level DB2 related work.
16. Coordinate with customers for DB2 related queries and concerns.
