Job Title: Mobile Tactical Security Officer.
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Mobile Tactical Security Officer to join our team. This position involves monitoring security across multiple locations, ensuring the safety of property and personnel, and responding to incidents. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in security, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Patrolling: Regularly moving between different locations to monitor security, ensuring safety, and reporting suspicious activities, remove trespasser from property.
- Access Control: Ensuring that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas by checking ID badges and using security systems.
- Incident Response: Responding to emergencies or disturbances, coordinating with law enforcement or other emergency responders as needed.
- Security Checks: Scanning NFC checkpoints, inspecting doors, windows, and other potential entry points to ensure they are secured.
- Reporting: Maintaining logs of activities, incidents, and the overall security status of the areas being monitored.
- Vehicle Patrol: Guards are required to drive vehicles and conduct foot patrols to cover areas.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security License.
- Valid G Class Ontario Driver’s License.
- Minimum 25 years of age (as of January 2025) to meet insurance requirements.
- Provide a current driver abstract.
- Proof of Full COVID-19 vaccination (policy in effect).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Post-secondary diploma or certification in Law Enforcement or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively.
- High integrity and a strong work ethic with professionalism under stress.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Uniform and Equipment Requirements:
- Cargo Pants.
- LTS 2-IN-1 Jacket.
- LTS Grey Security Short Sleeve Shirt.
- Tactical Quick Release Security Guard Vest Carrier with Level 3A Stab Proof Curved Body Armor.
- Tactical Security Duty Belt.
Additional Gear (purchased after Use of Force Training):
- Handcuffs and baton (mandatory after passing Use of Force training).
If you already own any of the listed items (e.g., black cargo pants or a bulletproof vest), they may be approved for use.
Training & Certification: need to already hold or be willing to obtain a valid Use of Force certification issued by Stay Safe which would include all of the following:
Resistance Management Systems (1 Day).
- Use of Force Training (2 Days).
- Day 1: Resistance Management Systems.
- Day 2: Baton and Handcuff Training.
Mandatory Annual Training:
- AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act).
- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
- Smart Serve.
- First Aid/CPR.
- Resistance Management System Certification (Handcuff & Baton) - approved by Stay Safe (LTS Instructors).
Shift Schedule:
- Night Shifts: 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM.
- Primarily Continental Shifts (subject to change). Example shifts include:
- Example 1: Mon - ON, Tues - ON, Wed - OFF, Thurs - OFF, Fri - ON, Sat - ON, Sun - ON.
- Example 2: Mon - OFF, Tues - OFF, Wed - ON, Thurs - ON, Fri - OFF, Sat - OFF, Sun - OFF.
