Mobile Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic/Forklift Mechanic based in our Grand Forks, BC location to join the Operational Maintenance team. The position is scheduled for 8 hour work days, Monday through Friday.

Pay Rate: $45.74/hour

Your future team:

You will become part of the Operational Maintenance team reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Lead Hand.

What you bring:

• Red Seal Mechanic Certification

• Heavy duty equipment repair background.

• 5 years or more as a mechanic in an Industrial position.

• Forklift repair experience

• Safety orientation, and strong value for safety.

• Air brake knowledge and experience.

• Diesel, propane, electric, and hydraulic background are required.

• Strong computer skills (experience with SAP, Excel, and others) will be an asset.

• The ability to work alone and take direction from the Maintenance Supervisor.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for maintaining strong reliability of all mobile equipment on site.

• Responsible for the execution of daily maintenance needed on equipment as well as fulfilling the preventative maintenance program.

• Ensure that needed and correct spare parts are readily available to maintain maximum operational uptime at minimum costs.

• Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of equipment repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Responsible for ensuring machinery and equipment that are subject to legislative and/or regulatory requirements are in compliance with applicable rules and regulations regarding systematic inspection and testing.

• There may be possible OT if required.
