Hourly Salary: $33.365, $34.493, $35.669, $37.880, $39.040, $40.237

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Screening Operations Manager, the Mobile Coordinator plans, implements and coordinates mobile breast screening sites across the province and, in collaboration with the BreastCheck team, develops and executes various activities related to the digital mammography mobile clinics. Responsibilities include: creating mobile schedules, promoting screening provincially and at a community level, planning for geographically isolated communities, developing initiatives to increase participation rates within underserved populations and completing administrative duties required for proper execution of the mobile screening program.

Qualifications:

Required:

Education:

  • Post Secondary Diploma/Certificate in health or related field from an accredited educational institution. Post Secondary Degree in a related health field is considered an asset.

Experience:

  • 1 year experience with planning, implementing, and evaluating projects or programs.
  • 1 year experience developing and maintaining reports, spreadsheets, documents, budget documents and reporting.
  • Experience working with communities and culturally diverse populations.

An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred:

  • Experience in public health programs, women’s health programs, or community mobilization.
  • Knowledge of breast cancer and screening.
  • Experience working with Manitoba’s Regional Health Authorities and First Nations health organizations and underserved populations.
  • Working knowledge of desktop publishing programs.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent planning abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate messages in a professional and engaging manner to a variety of target audiences.
  • Comfortable working independently and strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment and able to lift and carry items.
  • Travel throughout the service area requires a valid Manitoba driver’s license and use of a motor vehicle.
  • Occasional travel and weekend/evening work may be required.

Other:

  • Must have satisfactory employment record.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Ability to speak French.
