The Mobile Application Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of a mobile application aimed at facilitating student recruitment initiatives and providing ongoing support to our current students.

This position is an integral member of the IT team in developing mobile applications for iOS, Android, and Windows, using multi-platform frameworks such as Xamarin or .NET MAUI. The primary focus will be on creating an application to assist students with enrollment and support their full life cycle while attending the college. This application aims to enhance the overall student experience, streamline administrative processes, and provide essential resources to students in a user-friendly and accessible manner.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for mobile platforms to enhance the student experience.
• Implement user interfaces that are intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive.
• Develop application prototypes and conduct usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on design.
• Collaborate with the development team to design mobile app features and integrate them with existing backend systems.
• Monitor app performance using analytics tools and address any issues that arise.
• Provide regular updates and patches to address user feedback and improve app functionality.
• Continuously maintain and upgrade mobile apps to align with new platform releases.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Implement new features and enhancements based on user feedback and evolving college needs.
• Connect mobile app features to existing college content and services.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Other duties as assigned which are deemed necessary to support staff in their roles or support MaKami College in achieving its goals and objectives.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Specialized courses or certifications in iOS, Android, .NET MAUI (or Xamarin) are preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Mobile App Development.
• Working experience in iOS and/or Android app development.
• Published one or more iOS and/or Android apps in the app store.
• Deep familiarity with iOS, Android, or multi-platform development.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
