Job Title: Mine Operations Senior Dispatcher
The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada’s largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. is owned by Equinox Gold Corp., a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.
Greenstone Mine is seeking a Mine Operations Senior Dispatcher to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Operations Superintendent, the Mine Operations Senior Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing the operation and implementation of the mine dispatchers. Being the main point of contact between the Mine Superintendent and the Mine Dispatch team, they will be responsible for:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Advocate for company safety values and protocols through positive leadership.
- Foster a culture of safety through positive leadership, ensuring all team members adhere to safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure team compliance with relevant legislation, operational standards, and company policies.
- Ensure proper documentation of compliance.
- Actively monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet utilization, operational efficiency, and safety.
- Capture and analyze data to provide feedback and identify areas for improvement to the team.
- Work with the team to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
- Advise Production Supervisors on possible improvements in fleet utilization.
- Plan and execute continuous operation of haul fleet by managing operator breaks.
- Support the team in achieving targets set out in the daily plan.
- Create and monitor daily reports for Senior Supervisors and Superintendent.
- Monitor equipment utilization against targets and adjust as required.
- Ensure that the fleet is operating in alignment with the crusher’s needs to maximize operational efficiency.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of Ontario legislation.

- Proficiency in the language of operation.
- Advanced knowledge/expertise in CAT MineStar.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- Minimum of 8 years in open pit mining.
- Able to work in a secluded work area for extended periods of time.
LOCATION:
- This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario.
