Greenstone Mine is seeking a Mine Maintenance Reliability Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Mine Maintenance Planner, the Mine Maintenance Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting the Maintenance team through continuous improvement and ensuring regulatory compliance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Be familiar with and adhere to all Greenstone safety policies and best practices. Always encourage a safe and productive workplace.
Run our oil sampling and vibrations analysis programs; arrange and report on NDT services; and provide recommendations for preventive/corrective actions.
Lead our predictive maintenance programs, monitoring systems, and integration with external services. Consult with key contractors and report progress to the senior maintenance team.
Attend daily control meetings to be consulted and informed of operational changes, breakdowns, and found work. Advise the team about related failures, component histories, and risks.
Conduct failure analyses when required and provide recommendations to improve asset reliability and reduce operating costs.
Analyze the monthly plan and weekly schedule compliance. Ensure downtime is recorded accurately. Develop, analyze, and report KPIs to the team, then provide steps to improve.
Work with the Maintenance Planners to streamline and enhance the planning process, working to achieve greater throughput. Solicit feedback from the Execution team to accelerate improvement.
Stay appraised of asset health, review benchmarks and failures, advise about monthly and annual component budgets and potential equipment replacements.
Review and provide recommendations of stocked items, rebuildable components, and critical spares.
Ensure compliance of equipment certifications and safety standards.
Prepare and check calculations, documents, drawings, cost estimates, and tests for maintenance improvement initiatives.
Conduct worksite observations for planned maintenance and project shutdowns. Develop planned maintenance optimizations. Participate in after action reviews to continually improve the maintenance process.
Consult with other key departments at Greenstone to ensure consistencies in maintenance practices are being upheld. Solicit cooperative input from other leading industry members.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject must be completed.
Eligible for registration as an Engineer in Training within Ontario.
2+ years of experience with the maintenance of mobile equipment is required.
Very strong skills with Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365 are required. A familiarity with Microsoft Project and SharePoint is an asset.
2 years of experience with computerized maintenance information systems and maintenance practices/methods is strongly desired.
Experience with SAP or another modern CMMS is an asset.
Knowledge of CAT SIS 2.0, Fluid Life, and My Komatsu/SMS portal is an asset.
Prior experience in an open pit mine site is an asset.

This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario on a 14/14 rotation
