THE POSITIONThe
Pipeline Millwright, based in Grande Prairie, Alberta, will be responsible for all day-to-day mechanical assignments on field and booster stations while maintaining a safe working environment.
This role is currently eligible for Keyera’s Northern Allowance, a tiered incentive plan based on years of service in Keyera’s northern locations.This is a 4/3 shift schedule (4 days on, 10 hours per day, followed by 3 days off). Please note that this is
not a camp role, and local candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities- Maintain, repair & troubleshoot vertical and horizontal pumps, mechanical seals, and all styles of valves.
- Perform pump alignments based on preventative and scheduled maintenance.
- Perform routine maintenance as per facility preventative maintenance programs.
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports as required in Maximo.
- Participate in maintenance and project installations as required.
- Comply with OH&S standards, safety training requirements, corporate CSOPs, Site Safe Operating Practice (SSOP), and Operational Excellence requirements.
- Plan and execute lifting and rigging jobs including critical lifts.
- Fit bearings, align gears and shafts.
- Attach motors and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on rotating equipment.
- Oversee third-party support crews on overhauls and planned outages.
- Actively support Operational Excellence and Asset Management & Reliability programs.
- Create and manage Management of Change (MOC) work packages, ensuring all completed work adheres to engineering, regulatory, and design engineering scope.
- Order parts and create related and regular service requests.
- Be an active participant in work planning.
- With the support of the Maintenance Supervisor, coordinate work activities with Operations.
QualificationsThe successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service-oriented with the following qualifications:- Journeyman Millwright Certification from an accredited institution.
- 5-10 years’ experience in a journeyman role within the pipeline or oil & gas industry assets.
- Valid driver’s license; familiar with the operation of a service truck and lifting crane.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in the Maximo application would be an asset, or experience with similar maintenance software programs.
- Self-starter who is able to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in both a work team environment and individually.
- Strong interpersonal skills and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid Certificates an asset.
- Must be available to work overtime and callouts as required.
