The Millwright Mechanic will work in the Aldergrove location, handling issues that arise with door production machinery and systems.
Responsibilities
- Follow PM Schedule
- Log and track all maintenance requests
- Complete repairs or projects
- Inspect the plant
- Work closely with the Production Supervisors to ensure minimal lost time for repairs
- Cleanup after job completion
- Maintain maintenance shop daily
- Perform daily checks
- Maintenance of PLCs and polyurethane injection molding machines
- Replace existing electrical devices
- Read engineering drawings and blueprints
- Prepare reports
- Weld and fabricate
- Dismantle, repair, maintain, modify, build, install, align, and move production machinery and systems
- Source and obtain parts
- Fabricate parts
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and some electrical equipment
- Use Boom lift
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the dust collection system
- Occasionally work on the roof
Essential Skills
- 3 - 5 years of Industrial Plant Production Line Maintenance experience
- Experience on project work and low voltage, PLC troubleshooting
- Comfortable working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Red Seal certification
- Availability to work afternoon shifts and overtime if required
- Basic mechanic tools
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift, Boom lift, scissor lift certifications
- CNC machine experience
- CMMS system experience
- Previously part of a safety committee or interested in joining
- Can-do attitude
- Eager to learn new skills

Work Environment
You will be part of a team of 80-100 employees, working alongside Machine Operators in a custom wood/metal manufacturing facility. The facility includes lathes, mills, and weld stations, with about 10% welding work. Some outdoor work on the dust collection system is required, often performed on nice days. You will use a Boom lift up to 50 feet high and work with both older steel machines and new machines with PLC and CNC technology. The area can get loud, so ear protection is provided. Dress code includes long pants, long sleeve shirts, steel-toed work boots, ear plugs, safety glasses, and safety vests, all provided.
SHIFT:
Monday to Friday 5:45am – 2pm
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $46.00/hr.
