Position: Millwright Journeyman Reports to: Project Manager

As a Millwright you will play a key role in contributing to the continued success of Silver Hills Bakery whose mission is to inspire individuals to live a healthy lifestyle. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic production work environment and will have the opportunity to learn new skills and work in a team setting. In this role, you are responsible for completing the duties listed below as well as other duties as assigned by your manager or their designate.

Detailed Description of Duties:

1. Work under the direction of the project manager to manage project installations on time and budget
2. Provide direction to and supervise contractors working on projects
3. Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
4. Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
5. Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
6. Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
7. Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
8. Inspect new equipment and parts to ensure compliance with the Purchase Orders
9. Ensure contractor WCB approvals, plant safety program orientation, and confidentiality statements
10. Work with maintenance and production team to ensure SOP’s and training materials are provided at the time of sign off on project work
11. Enforce company policies and Standard Operating Procedures
12. Promote and facilitate safe work practices and policies
