Millwright-CNC Maintenance

Location: Mississauga Ontario L5J 1K7 Canada

Pay: $40-$41.42 per hour + NEW!!! $1 Shift Premium

Shifts:
Straight Afternoon: 2:30-10:30 pm
Straight Nights: 10:30 pm-6:30 am

Responsibilities:

The Millwright / Mechanic is responsible for all preventative maintenance/repairs of all plant utilities, machinery, and processes of the company. Support and work within the procedures of the maintenance management software systems to facilitate Preventative Maintenance activities, work order management, spare and replacement component purchasing.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Duties encompass preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, modifications, and rigging as required.
2. Completion of Preventative Maintenance work orders as per the PM schedule, complete and accurate feedback on the PM outlining completion or additional work and materials required to complete the PM.
3. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures and ensure all equipment is properly guarded and operating in a safe manner.
4. Provide technical support to the Human Resources, Processes, Products, and Equipment employed within the departments assigned on a day-to-day basis.
5. Ensure that a smooth “hand-off” occurs with Technical Team Members on other shifts within the departments.
6. Participate in department team meetings to review and resolve quality, service, operations, facilities, human resources, and health and safety issues.
7. Participate in 5 “S” activities.
8. Operational problem solving and seeking out continuous improvements to the process.
9. Assist in the training and development of new members of the department.

Measures for Success:

Maximize equipment uptime, minimize equipment breakdowns, PM effectiveness and reliability, ensure machines are returned to production ready to make parts, effective feedback on equipment issues, and proper spare and material replacement ordering.

Requirements:

1. Secondary School Graduation Diploma
2. Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
3. Three to five (3-5) years of practical experience is preferred.
4. Team player with the ability to work with others in a team-based environment.
5. Experience with heavy presses preferred.
6. Reliable and mature individual with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
