Millwright in Burlington | $43/hour+ (2025-04-02)

The Details:

Shift:

1. Overnight – Sunday to Thursday – 11pm to 7am
2. Hourly Rate: $43.00/hour + $2 overnight premium
3. End times vary based on production; flexibility will be necessary
4. It’s a pork processing facility

Job Tasks:

1. Must comply with all safety regulations to provide a safe working environment for themselves and the workers in the plant
2. Maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant
3. Perform PMs, PDMs, CM, and regular work orders on equipment
4. Must be able to multitask and prioritize their workload
5. Can repair and work on conveyors, industrial equipment, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, lathes, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems, packaging equipment, and pneumatic equipment
6. Must be a proficient TIG welder
7. Must be proficient at repairs and troubleshooting
8. Must be able to work in a team-type environment
9. Full knowledge of hand and power tools
10. Installation of equipment
11. Follow GMP rules and GMP for Maintenance rules
12. Carry out oral or printed work requests and apply corrective actions
13. Account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program

Requirements:

1. Must have a 433A or 426A Millwright License
2. Fast-paced manufacturing environment, repetitive tasks, and ability to stand for extended hours
3. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
4. Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
5. Must be a minimum of 18 years old and legally entitled to work in Canada
6. Must be able to communicate and understand English
7. Must have their own tools
8. Must have experience as a Millwright
