Title/NOC: Millwright (NOC/TEER 72400)
Term: 2 years (time limited position, project based)
Number of Positions: 50
Language of Work: English
Wage: $51.00/hour (as per existing collective agreement with CLAC, subject to change and increases by CLAC).
Schedule: 14 days on 7 days off, 10 hours per day shift rotation or 5 days on 2 days off, 10 hours per day shift rotation.
Overtime: 1.5 times wage rate after 8 hours/day (as per existing collective agreement).
Benefits Package: Benefits (as per existing collective agreement with CLAC) including extended health coverage, dental, optical, prescription drug plan, short term & long term disability, life insurance, accidental death & disability coverage and emergency travel.
Location of work: Edmonton and area, Fort McMurray region, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Comprehends diagrams and schematic drawings and manuals to determine work procedures.
  • Installation of turbines, pumps, vessels, and compressors.
  • Ability to fit bearings, attach motors, and connect couplings to precise tolerances.
  • Alignment and testing equipment to make any necessary adjustments.
  • Understands hydraulic, pneumatic and programmable logic controls.
  • May be required to do some tack welding and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of parts.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Journeyperson Millwright certification with Red Seal.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Millwright on large (100 million dollar +) industrial construction projects.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
