Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Schedule: TBD – must be available to work days and nights.

Salary: $36.15 - $42.55/hour. Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations.
• Carries out equipment installations and modifications as required.
• Repairs parts in shop.
• Works effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety.
• Follows company policies and safety standards.
• Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Millwright license.
• Proven experience with process equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Food industry or high-speed packaging experience.
• Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Welding experience is an asset.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Boiler, refrigeration, and air handling systems experience is an asset.
• Electrical experience is an asset.
• PLC training and experience is an asset.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• High level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Dependable with a good attendance and safety record in current position.
• Available to work afternoon and night shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Available to switch shifts at short notice to replace absent workers.
