Weyerhaeuser's (Engineered Lumber Products) Timberstrand manufacturing plant, located on beautiful Lake of the Woods in Kenora, Ontario, is currently seeking a permanent full-time Certified Mechanical Technician. Our plant manufactures the high strength engineered wood product Timberstrand in a 24/7 operations, non-union, manufacturing environment. We offer a competitive total compensation and flexible benefits package, with a competitive starting wage of $48.12. For the right candidate, we offer a relocation allowance and a hiring bonus of $3000.00.

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the certified Millwright will be responsible for:

1. Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of hydraulic systems and components.
2. Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical equipment issues.
3. Performing routine maintenance work on machinery.
4. Using SAP for Materials and Work Order Management.
5. Basic welding and fabrication.
6. Coordinating contractor activities as required.
7. Keeping work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
8. Performing duties and operating equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner.
9. Completing all jobs in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Journeyman Millwright Certification - Preferred.
2. 3 – 5 years in an industrial environment would be an asset.
3. Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
4. Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office.
5. Must be willing to work on a rotating shift schedule that includes both days and nights, 12-hour continuous shifts.
