We are seeking a skilled and certified Industrial Millwright to join our established bakery located in Delta, BC.

The Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain various food processing equipment. The role requires collaboration with the maintenance and operations teams, working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems. Candidates must be able to work independently, follow safety procedures, and be flexible with shifts and overtime.

Position Title:

Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)

Temporary to permanent full-time opportunity with OT

Schedule:

Tuesday to Saturday

Shifts:

9:00 pm to 5:00 am (Graveyard + overtime)

Wage:

$35 to $45 / hr + $1.50 night shift premium

Requirements:

1. You have Steel Toe Boots
2. Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting required
3. Industrial electrician ticket or equivalent, preferably RED seal
4. You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia

Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
2. Install, align, repair, and move industrial machinery such as conveyors, pumps, fans, and tanks
3. Work with plumbing, natural gas burners, and continuous ovens
4. Maintain small gas-fired boilers and operate hoisting/lifting devices
5. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment malfunctions
6. Maintain and troubleshoot power transmission, blowers, and hydraulic systems
7. Use machine tools (lathe, milling machine, etc.) for equipment upgrades and parts fabrication
8. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
9. Experience with MIG, Stick, and TIG welding

Qualifications:

1. Ability to read electrical schematics and PLCs
2. Experience with hygienic TIG welding of stainless steel (Aluminum is a plus)
3. Boiler operator's ticket would be an asset
4. Red Seal Millwright ticket would be an asset
5. High School or Technical School education

Physical and Working Conditions:

1. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing physical tasks like reaching, kneeling, and standing for long periods
2. Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and weather elements
3. Work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, kneeling, standing)
4. Must follow safety regulations and handle equipment and chemical hazards
5. Use of personal protective equipment provided
