Mill Manager

Timmins, Ontario | Full-time

Our client, a leader in North America, is seeking a Mill Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of its mill processing plant in Northern Ontario. This is a critical leadership role responsible for mill performance, tailings management, and cross-functional team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the mill, processing, ensuring optimal throughput, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
• Oversee the safe operation and integrity of the tailings facility, meeting all regulatory, OMS Manual, and corporate policy requirements.
• Coordinate production scheduling and inventory management aligned with customer demand.
• Analyze and resolve processing issues to ensure continuous improvement in recovery and product quality.
• Lead and support site-wide HSEQ programs, ensuring full compliance with federal, provincial, and corporate standards.
• Direct maintenance teams to ensure asset reliability and safe work execution.
• Manage monthly, weekly, and daily performance reporting against plant KPIs.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and corporate stakeholders on process optimization and capital projects.
• Lead site HR activities including onboarding, employee relations, and training initiatives.
• Foster a high-performing, safe, and transparent work culture.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mine Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
• 6+ years of leadership experience in mill operations, preferably in mining.
• Strong knowledge of tailings facility management and environmental compliance.
• Proven track record in team leadership, budget management, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, safety systems, and regulatory requirements in Canada and the U.S.
