Job Duties:
Reporting directly to Josh, you will be a primary asset to the company. You will play a crucial role in assessing, managing, producing, and completing various tasks, projects, components, and repairs. This role requires high entrepreneurial skills and a self-motivated workflow. We expect various idea generation and project completion either directly overseen by Josh or self-directed in order to help serve customer and market requirements.
Analyzing:
Understanding of client demand and market deficiencies with respect to metal-based machines. Suggesting product line development to address inefficiencies of perceived workflow in the agriculture and construction industries.
Planning:
Design various products using software such as Auto-Cad, SolidWorks, and other various 2D and 3D modeling applications.
Work with consultants to ensure products meet or exceed ISO and CSA standards.
Manage clients and project scheduling to best achieve the goals of the company.
Order and receive materials for scheduled projects.
Create, edit, and upkeep cut-lists for various products.
Design, create, and manage Jigs for product lines.
Operating:
Operate various fixed machinery such as presses, shears, rollers, breaks, bandsaws, plasma tables, welders (SMAW/MMA).
Operate construction-related machinery such as skid steers, forklifts, heavy trucks, or excavators.
Operate metal-working and wood-working hand tools such as saws, plasma cutters, torches (oxy, map, propane), grinders, skill saws, sledges, mallets, etc.
Mobile repair and maintenance of customer internal machines as required.
Assist the company’s shoreline construction divisions as required for shoreline stabilization work.

Skills Requirements:
Required Education:
A diploma from a Mechanical Technician program is preferred.
Completion of a Millwright Mechanical course is preferred.
Required Work Experience:
Minimum of:
2 years work experience as a metal fabricator.
6 months of work experience using 2D/3D design software.
Strong:
Entrepreneurial skills to manage various projects.
Client/customer relationship skills.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Able to:
Design, plan, and fabricate products for the agriculture and construction industries.
Work with hand tools, static machinery, and heavy machinery as required.
Accommodate flexible scheduling to meet production or client deadlines.
Prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience working with various materials, for example, wood, steel, plastics.
