Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Custom Web Parts, Workflows, and Forms: Developing custom web parts, workflows, and forms to enhance the functionality of SharePoint sites.
  2. Site and Application Maintenance: Designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint sites and applications to ensure they meet business requirements.
  3. Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Providing technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint-related issues to ensure smooth operation.
  4. User Training and Documentation: Creating technical documentation and user guides, and providing training to users on new systems or updates.

Mandatory Experience:

Expertise in SharePoint (3 to 5 years) is required, along with skills in OneDrive, M365, and Exchange Online.

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in SharePoint Platform: A strong understanding of the SharePoint platform, including its user interface, business intelligence, collaboration, and content management capabilities.
  2. Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Familiarity with the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  3. Customization and Integration: Experience in designing, developing, and implementing customized SharePoint solutions and integrating them with other systems.
  4. Technical Documentation: Ability to create technical documentation and user guides for new systems or updates.
  5. Security Management: Ensuring the security of SharePoint systems by setting up and managing user permissions.

Education:

2 to 4 years of formal education (technical school or university).

Certifications (if required):

Microsoft Certified Professional Developer - SharePoint.

Documentation Required for Submission:

References must be of a professional nature and be from within the past 5 years. If no other suitable reference(s) can be found, SaskPower can be used but the reference must not be a SaskPower Manager or Director.

Work Hours:

Offsite work is acceptable. Candidate may be requested to attend periodic sessions onsite with at least 4 weeks warning. Candidate will have days between Christmas and New Year's off. The Monday after Easter is also a day off. No on-call rotation expected. Overtime is not expected, but the candidate may be asked to change work hours to be outside of normal business hours, but not exceed 40 hours in one week. Relocation is accepted.
