Capacity building includes learning, presenting, mentorship, meetings and more - all paid. About the Role
As a Merchandiser, working closely with a Retail Development Specialist, you will be responsible for product visibility, availability on shelves and displays and the implementation of the priorities in assigned stores.
- Develop and maintain business relationships and trust with customers with strong customer service.
- Going into dairy cooler, restocking as many product cases available at each assigned store (inclusive of shelving space and displays set ups).
- Proactively propose extra display space if product available.
- Install and set up point of sales marketing material in store.
- Cover assigned store locations in line with customer needs (i.e. during high shopper traffic periods and when re-stocking is needed).
- Operate in accordance with customer operational practices by following Work Instructions provided (Greeting staff, utilizing computer ordering system, clientele).
- Work under the guidance of the Retail Development Specialist to ensure the following are completed on a weekly basis:
- Complete daily Merchandising Survey Report (summary of visit, number of cases packed, etc.).
- Appropriate number of visits completed (6 visits per work week).
- Proactively flagging any areas of opportunity brought to you by the customer.
Job Requirements
Ideal Qualifications and Competencies
- Completion of High school Diploma (or near completion).
- Experience in customer service is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams to drive actions with customers.
- Strong time management with the ability to work independently to manage priorities.
- Ability to move/lift up to 10kg in store.
- Available 2-3 days/week with at least one weekend day availability.
- Willing to be mentored; Coachable, committed to personal growth, and determined to progress through the program with guidance and support.
- Can present yourself in a professional way, as a representative of the company.
