Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented MEP Lead (Aviation Infrastructure) Pumping Stations & Reservoirs to join our team! This is an integral role in one of key engagements and you will be managing a team of MEP engineers and inspectors for the execution of Civil Works related to an Infrastructure Construction Program.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supervise MEP works at all the Projects using the relevant site teams.
• Cooperate with the Construction and Engineering Manager for the on-time and on-budget completion of the Projects.
• Review the Contractor’s Progress Reports and prepare reports for the Project Controls Department.
• Manage teams of PMC MEP engineers and inspectors to assure the Safety and quality of works on all the sites.
• Support the Sub-Consultants and Contractors on the MEP works proactively.
• Review Contractors' shop drawings, program, and progress.
• Review Method / Risk / Health and Safety statements.
• Review and apply Testing and commissioning program and process (with CML).
• Cooperate with the Engineering department for discussing design changes in construction to provide technical solutions.
• Respond to RFIs.
• Assure compliance with codes, standards, and statutory authority requirements.
• Manage Test & Commissioning.
• Prepare Contractors' Scope of works.
• Assist the Engineering Department in developing Processes, Procedures, and Standards for MEP works.
• Cooperate and coordinate with other disciplines to secure the integration of working activities.
• Review and advise on cost estimation of works and materials.
• Ensure that tenders received from bidders are in accordance with required specifications and assist in the development of the company's bidding/supply chain.
• Advise the estimating team on costs of M&E design, including considerations for changes in specifications and details.
• Evaluate all tender returns from subcontractors for inclusion in the company’s tender.
• Review M&E design information at the tender stage and undertake full design gap analysis to advise the estimating team of any design shortfalls.
• Produce Value Engineering options.
• Evaluate potential costs for Statutory services as budgets.
• Attend site visits during the tender process.
• Assist, when required, in tender settlements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• BSC or MSc degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of experience with 8 years in a similar role.
• A focus on pumping stations & reservoirs.
• High level of energy and drive combined with strong customer service skills to ensure a quality M&E Management service is delivered to multiple concurrent and complex construction projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Good organizing skills with strong attention to detail, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and consistently meet high standards and deadlines.
• Ability to develop relationships both within the business and externally with clients, demonstrating tact, discretion, and confidentiality as required.
• Demonstrated effective managerial capability on construction projects of comparable scope and complexity is also required.
• Effective oral and written skills for client presentations, technical reporting, and internal/external correspondence.
• Understanding of budget development and cost accounting.
• Ability to function in a multi-organizational environment by developing relationships that comply with the client’s proactive, collaborative culture.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Contractor’s experience in a similar role will be much appreciated.
• Participation in Airport projects is preferred.
• Membership in CIBSE would be desirable but not essential.
