Title: Mental Health Therapist Program Manager and Clinical Supervisor

Reports to: Director of Clinical Services

JOB SUMMARY

Individual will be responsible for providing diagnostic assessment, treatment planning and therapy services to adolescents and young adults ages 12-26 and their families. Responsibilities include therapy with clients and family, parent education, possible group therapy and related paperwork, clinical supervision and coordination of all staff therapists and interns. Individual will also engage in outreach and community education activities. This position will include time spent on outreach and networking activities to build community knowledge and client base. This position includes participation in clinic, all staff, mental health, and Ops Committee meetings.

Hours: 32 hours/week – 1-2 evenings till 8, and every other Saturday 10-2. This is a benefits eligible position.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

  • 1-3 Mental Health Therapists
  • Counseling/MH interns

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide direct therapy services to adolescents, young adults and their families at the Hopkins clinic, in the community and schools when needed.
  • Supervise all counseling staff in the organization to include, but not limited to doing annual staff reviews, collaboration, consultation, hiring, training, granting/denying time off, covering staff for vacations, illness, timecards etc.
  • Provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed therapists and/or interns.
  • Carry out all necessary administrative activities regarding charting, billing, program reporting and scheduling, etc.
  • Build referral network through community meetings and other outreach activities.
  • Provide outreach, consultation, and other professional services to school systems, referral sources and other related community groups.
  • Other duties as assigned by Clinic Director or Executive Director.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grant research/writing/data collection at the request of or in collaboration with the Executive Director.
  • Build and expand Mental Health program as determined by community needs, collaborations with other organizations and funding.
  • Utilize EMR for mental health documentation, and work with EHR consultant on EHR upgrades and training mental health staff.
  • Attend scheduled Mental Health Program meetings, All Staff and Clinic team meetings as scheduled.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • Conduct self in accordance with myHealth’s employee handbook.
  • At all times, support the mission, vision and objectives of myHealth.
  • Other duties as assigned by Clinic Director or Executive Director.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SUPERVISORY STAFF:

  • As a representative of management, support company’s mission, vision, goals and management decisions to all staff, particularly those you supervise.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with all staff.
  • Provide effective and timely work direction, expectations, feedback, and recognition to staff.
  • Provide ongoing training to new staff as well as long-term staff who take on new responsibilities or who experience changes in the way their existing duties need to be performed.
  • Document performance of staff you supervise through the established company performance evaluation process.
  • Conduct yourself professionally with all staff members, maintaining appropriate boundaries and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Cultivate a positive work environment and work culture.
  • Ensure that employee issues are brought to the attention of upper management by informing your supervisor when issues arise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology from an accredited University.
  • Board-certified clinical supervisor.
  • Previous experience working as a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist (LP) in the state of MN.
  • Previous experience working with adolescents and young adults.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with adolescents and young adults.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective collaborative relationships with colleagues, staff and community partners.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of economic, social and culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Committed to the mission of myHealth.

PREFERRED

  • Experience in non-profit health care, reproductive health.
  • Proficient in a language other than English.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Currently licensed as an independent clinical social worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist (LP) in the state of MN.
  • Board-Certified as a clinical supervisor in the State of MN.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily sedentary in nature. No special demands are required.

Blood/Fluid Exposure Risk: Tasks involve no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
