Position SummaryThe CIHR Pan-Canadian Network for HIV and STBBI Clinical Trials Research (CTN+) facilitates and supports high-quality, community-collaborative, investigator-driven clinical trials and innovative non-interventional research across disciplines, infections, and key populations across all regions of Canada. Our work provides mentorship and training while sharing resources and expertise. Additionally, we encourage applications to funding opportunities that align with the goals and initiatives of the CTN+.
General DutiesGrant Writing & Proposal Development- Respond to grant calls and funding opportunities from both the private and public sectors for CTN+ and its investigators.
- Research and identify new funding opportunities relevant to CTN+ and its projects.
- Develop and submit funding applications, including proposals and supporting documents, to various funding bodies, including CIHR.
- Work closely with researchers and investigators to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and compelling submissions.
Relationship Building With Funders- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key funders, including government agencies, private foundations, and industry partners.
- Liaise with funders to stay informed on upcoming opportunities and ensure that CTN+ is well-positioned for future funding.
Post-Doctoral Program Sustainability- Seek financial support for the post-doctoral program from funding partners and pursue new funding opportunities to enhance program support and address the training and career development needs of postdocs.
- Write reports on the progress and outcomes of the post-doctoral program for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with academic and research staff to ensure the program aligns with CTN+ goals and objectives.
Administrative And Strategic Support- Ensuring all grant-related documents are well-organized and accessible.
- Participating in strategic planning sessions to align grant activities with the CTN+’s long-term goals and priorities.
- Attending meetings related to grant proposals and funding strategies.
- Ensuring that all grant applications comply with funder guidelines.
Reporting & Communication- Writing detailed progress reports for funders, outlining how progress made towards project goals.
- Keeping internal stakeholders informed about the status of grant applications, ongoing projects, and upcoming opportunities.
- Collaborating with the communications team to publicize successful grants and the impact of funded projects.
Education / ExperienceEducation: Master's Degree in a Science related field.
Other Education Considered An Asset For This PositionWork Experience: minimum 5 years of experience.

Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek) or part time.
Pay Scale: $54,327.00 - $100,882.60 based on 35 hours/week Commensurate with education and experience.
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
