MISSIONS

Reporting to the Medical Director, your primary responsibilities will be:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:

  • Develop local action plans based on national and regional objectives
  • Analyze results, implement corrective and development actions
  • Regularly monitor the commercial performance of medical ranges in order to adjust the local strategy

MEDICAL SALES MANAGEMENT:

  • Generate brand awareness within the targeted medical communities
  • Generate brand prescriptions from the targeted medical communities
  • Regular visits to our customers to generate prescriptions by detailing the product characteristics, advantages, and patient benefits
  • Provide samples and trade size products to HCP and major healthcare centers of the territory

PR ACTIVITIES:

  • Plan and execute different types of PR activities with Key Opinion Leaders, patient associations, dermatologists, and GP pools to build strong partnerships
  • Develop a close relationship with the KOLs of the territory
  • Organize and participate in major scientific events on the territory, as well as in the rest of Canada, Europe, and the US if needed
  • Identify high-potential HCPs to develop them as speakers for the company

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

  • In charge of communication to dermatologists, pediatrics, and GP doctors of different projects such as scientific events, congresses, symposiums, etc.
  • Share relevant information to develop synergy within the medical team
  • Regular reporting of activities in the field
  • Monitor competition by gathering information on their new launches and healthcare professionals’ feedback
  • Provide competitive intelligence feedback to the hierarchy

KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT:

  • Collect product information from documentation and training sessions to prepare visits and communication actions
  • Continuous training on various medical sales-related topics such as:
    • Medical knowledge related to dermatology (physiopathology, guidelines, pharmacology, etc.)
    • Product knowledge (characteristics, advantages, patient benefits)
    • Sales argument speech
    • Selling techniques
    • Relationship management skills

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Academic background, experience, competencies (technical expertise, languages, management skills, etc.) required to succeed in this job:

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills

  • Autonomous, dynamic, self-motivated, and self-confident
  • Persuasive ability and proven adaptability
  • Use scientific and medical knowledge to inform, promote, and answer questions from healthcare professionals
  • Good knowledge of biology, dermatology, and/or any related fields of scientific knowledge
  • Negotiation, prospecting, and selling skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

EXPERIENCE:

  • Well acquainted with the principles of medical visits
  • Experience in the medical/pharmaceutical industry and/or any related industry (2 to 5 years)
  • Experience in dermocosmetics will be an advantage
  • Experience with databases, statistics, product lines
  • Experience with dermatologists, pediatrics, and GP doctors will be an advantage

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in any significant field: biochemistry, biology, science, etc.
  • Any other diploma, degree, or master related to Business Administration will be an advantage
  • Any pharma industry professional certification will be an advantage
