The Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) is responsible for performing diagnostic X-ray and CT services in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. This full-time position involves producing high-quality images that aid Radiologists in making accurate and timely diagnoses. The MRT must adhere to the standards and objectives of the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA), ensuring competent and effective imaging practices. The role requires strong technical skills and a focus on delivering excellent patient care through accurate imaging. You will need to work independently to perform all types of radiology and CT procedures in accordance with NTHSSA policies and procedures and governing bodies. You will need to coordinate and manage the day-to-day CT workload and have specialized knowledge of Radiology and be able to use varied types of diagnostic equipment.
This level of knowledge, skills and abilities is typically obtained through the successful completion of a Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiation Technology and workplace CT training (or willing to obtain).

The salary range for this position is from $48.59 per hour to $58.04 per hour (approximately $94,751- $113,178) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
