Position DescriptionThe Ottawa Hospital is looking for Medical Physicists to join a dynamic team of 17 physicists who provide clinical support for the Radiation Medicine Program. The purpose of the Medical Physicist is to supply specialized, scientific expertise to the cancer and diagnostic centres through the application of physics to medicine. Physicists are engaged in clinical services, education and research.
Rotation/ShiftsDays, 8 hour shifts. *For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change.
Basic Requirements- Postgraduate degree in Medical Physics or a closely related discipline from a recognized university or equivalent;
- Successful completion of a CAMPEP approved residency in radiation oncology physics;
- Minimum of two (2) years radiotherapy physics experience;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Sound judgement and problem-solving;
- Superior organizational skills;
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications- Ph.D. in Medical Physics or directly related field;
- A proven track record in research;
- Member of the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine or equivalent;
- Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
