We are seeking askilled and experienced Medical Office Assistant (MOA)to join our busygynecology practice. The ideal candidate must haveprevious experience working in a gynecology or OB/GYN clinicand be comfortable handling both administrative and clinical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage phone calls, voicemails, and patient inquiries.
- Process and manage incoming referrals efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Assist the gynecologist with in-office procedures.
- Prepare sterile trays for gynecological procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms.
- Manage electronic medical records and update patient charts.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and test results.
- Process requisitions for imaging and lab tests.
- Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards.
Gynecology-Specific Duties:
- Assist withPap smearsand other procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
- Set up forendometrial biopsiesand minor surgical procedures.
- Prepare and assist duringIUD insertions and removals.
- Provide pre- and post-procedurepatient educationon gynecological treatments.
- Maintain inventory and stock of gynecological supplies and medications.
- Process and manage requisitions
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in a gynecology or OB/GYN clinic is required.
MOA certification or equivalent experience.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and patient care abilities.
Proficiency in EMR systems (experience with OSCAR EMR is a must).
Knowledge of medical terminology related to gynecology.
