Under the direction of the Chief Medical Technologist, performs laboratory work and related duties in the field of Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Microbiology, Accessioning, Phlebotomy, and gram stains.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings, 07:00 to 15:00, 07:30 to 15:30, 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 15:00 to 23:00 (Rotating)
Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include:
- Acute Care
- Internal medicine
- Ultrasound
- CT scans
- Surgery
- Emergency department
- Extended care
- Pediatrics
- Radiology
- Obstetrics
- Gynecology
Additional services such as Diabetes Education, Healthy Heart and Rehabilitation, Podiatry, Orthopedics, and other visiting specialists.

Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program.
- Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS.
- Three to four years’ recent related experience.
- Supervisory training and experience preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
