Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll is actively seeking applicants for a Medical Laboratory Technologist position.
Qualifications:
- Certification with Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
- Current registration or eligible as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario with authorization to practice relevant specialties in Laboratory Medicine.
- Minimum two years' experience in a medical laboratory preferred
- Demonstrated computer literacy (i.e. Cerner);
- Ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Demonstrated accuracy, organizational and multi-tasking skills;
- Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain effective relationships within healthcare teams;
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written);
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to personal, patient and staff safety;
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis;
- Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Other pertinent conditions:
- Must be available to work all shifts as required which may include weekends, stat holidays, days, evenings, and night shifts and ability to work On-Call.
- Hours are subject to change based on the needs of Laboratory Services and the hospital.
- Must be able to perform Phlebotomy
- Perform other jobs, duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
- Salary as per the OPSEU collective agreement ($36.84 per hour to $50.24 per hour)
