Relief full-time Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) opportunity available now at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH). Days of work are rotating and shift times are day, evening and night shifts.

What Will You Work On

MLAs perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Labs, operating related equipment, entering data into the LIS and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.

VJH is in the Okanagan health service area and responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services to patients throughout its service area. Located in Vernon, between Kelowna and Kamloops, VJH offers services including core physician specialties, Laboratory, 24 hour emergency and trauma services, acute and obstetrical care.
