The Opportunity (Hybrid - Toronto)

We are looking for a Media Planner, Amazon DSP to develop and execute data-driven media plans that maximize performance across Amazon's Demand-Side Platform (DSP). In this role, you will play a key part in designing and optimizing programmatic advertising strategies to help clients reach their target audiences, drive brand awareness, and achieve revenue growth.

As a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset, you will collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure media plans align with business objectives. Your Impact

  • Media Planning & Strategy: Develop Amazon DSP media plans by aligning targeting strategies, ad formats, and budgets with client goals while leveraging first-party and third-party data to drive performance. Provide guidance on best practices to maximize reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Campaign Execution & Optimization: Oversee the implementation of Amazon DSP campaigns, ensuring flawless execution and continuous optimization through data analysis, A/B testing, and refined bidding strategies.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track key metrics like ROAS, CTR, CVR, and viewability, presenting performance reports with actionable insights. Work with analytics teams to refine attribution models and measure incremental impact.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Partner with internal teams - including sales, account management, and creative—to align media plans with broader marketing strategies while educating clients on Amazon DSP capabilities and industry trends. Stay ahead of advertising innovations and competitor strategies.

Your Qualifications

  • Amazon DSP & Programmatic Expertise: 3+ years of experience in media planning, programmatic advertising, or Amazon DSP campaign management, with a strong understanding of Amazon’s advertising ecosystem, audience targeting, bid strategies, and measurement tools.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven Approach: Proficiency in analyzing campaign performance metrics and using reporting tools like Amazon DSP Console, Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), and other analytics platforms to drive optimization.
  • Communication & Strategy: Ability to craft compelling media plans, present strategic recommendations, and educate stakeholders on programmatic best practices through strong storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: A proactive approach to troubleshooting campaign challenges, improving efficiencies, and adapting to evolving programmatic trends.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) and advanced audience insights.
  • Familiarity with additional programmatic platforms (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360) and omnichannel advertising strategies.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce and direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing strategies.
