About the role
In the frame of its product development (Electric Propulsion System and Modular Battery Pack), H55 is searching for a Mechanical Technician & Designer.
As a Mechanical Technician & Designer at H55, your primary mission is to develop precise 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings to support the design and production of electric propulsion systems.
You will have an opportunity to collaborate closely with our dynamic production team, based in a state-of-the-art facility nearby.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Create accurate 3D CAD models of electric propulsion components and assemblies, including battery modules and electric motors.
- Generate precise 2D drawings from CAD models for manufacturing and assembly, adhering to company and industry standards.
- Apply drafting standards, tolerances, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with EASA and FAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret design concepts and convert them into manufacturable components.
- Maintain and manage revision control for all CAD files and drawings.
- Conduct quality checks and verify dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Participate in design reviews, offering insights to improve manufacturability and streamline production.
- Implement and process engineering change requests as needed for CAD models and drawings.
Your Profile
- DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Drafting, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years experience in CAD modeling and drafting, ideally in aerospace or a high-precision manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, Autodesk Inventor as a must, and Certification in CAD software or additional coursework is an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of 2D drafting standards, practices, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5 or ISO GPS).
- Familiarity with EASA and FAA regulatory requirements for aerospace design and manufacturing is an advantage.
- Knowledge of electric propulsion systems or electric vehicle components is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and French.
- This role may require rare traveling to our headquarters in Switzerland.
