Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer with Solid Works PDM knowledge to join our client’s team in Ottawa. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates looking to launch their engineering careers in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Assist in the design and development of mechanical components using Solid Works, contributing to innovative projects.
• PDM Management: Support the management and maintenance of SolidWorks PDM systems, ensuring efficient file organization and access.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers to create accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and assemblies, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Technical Support: Learn to troubleshoot PDM issues and provide technical support to the engineering team, enhancing your problem-solving skills.
• Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews and collaborate with production teams to ensure that designs meet manufacturing requirements and standards.
• Project Tracking: Support project tracking by managing design revisions and workflows within the PDM system, helping to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Solid Works Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Solid Works for 3D modelling and design, with a willingness to learn and grow your skills.
• PDM Familiarity: Familiarity with Power Distribution Module (PDM) systems is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills, essential for effective collaboration within the engineering team.
